Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland located in the Central Belt region of the country. It hosts the most stunning historical sights and in 1995, UNESCO listed the old and new towns of Edinburgh as World Heritage Sites. With a population of approximately 450,000, Edinburgh manages to combine both ancient and modern in a uniquely Scottish atmosphere. In Edinburgh, medieval palaces rub shoulders with the best of modern architecture, Gothic churches with amazing museums and galleries. In 2004, Edinburgh became the first member of the UNESCO Creative Cities initiative when it was designated a City of Literature. The Scottish Highlands is the rugged northern and North-western portion of Scotland. This is the Scotland conjured up by visions of tartan, kilts, Bonnie Prince Charlie and all.
It's our most popular tour and with good reason! Take a journey through time starting at Windsor where we will see its castle - not only is it the official residence of the UK monarchy, it is also the oldest inhabited castle in Europe! Then over to Bath - a famous city established almost 2000 years ago by the Romans - we explore its quirky streets and learn about its famous residents. On the return we do our final stop at Stonehenge to enter and see one of the most famous pre-historic structures in the world!
Wonderful Paris. Landmarks dominate its skyline such as the Arc de Triomphe, the Sacre Couer and iconic Tour d'Eiffel - the city has a certain prestige that you can only appreciate by visiting. Paris also hosts several world famous museums, art galleries and ancient buildings such as the Notre Dame and its catacombs. See the birth of Art Noveau with its decorated metro stations or take a cruise to see all the best sights and bridges or "ponts". You have a wonderful opportunity to visit the "Happiest Place in Earth" - Disneyland Paris during this tour for a full day and it includes access to all the rides! France prides itself by its great gourmet food and strong flavored cheeses - go French for a day and don't forget the wine!
