SUMMARY:

We visit two of Europe’s most beautiful countries. Lucerne is typically Swiss. The 14th Century Chapel Bridge, one of Europe’s oldest, serves as its centrepiece, and fresco-adorned historic houses line the streets. Lucerne is also great for shopping and restaurants.

Our hostel is based in the heart of the Swiss Alps close to many popular lakes and mountain ranges. We’ll have the opportunity to take a train journey and cable car ride to the top of the Alps to complete the Swiss adventure.

Milan is just a three hour scenic journey from Lucerne and home to some of Europe’s finest architecture. It’s also great for shopping and of course the great Italian food.

HIGHLIGHTS:

ICON

Mount Titlis and the Alps

Mount Titlis is the jewel in Central Switzerland's crown and the only publicly accessible glacier in the area. You will feel on top of the world as you take in the spectacular panoramic views of snow-covered mountains and unspoilt Alpine landscapes. Enjoy spectacular views of the Italian lakes and Alps on your three hour journey to Milan.

The Duomo

Milan’s Cathedral, or Duomo, is a much-loved symbol of the city. The most exuberant example of Northern Gothic architecture in Italy, its spiky spires and towers dominate Piazza del Duomo, Milan’s beating heart. One of the highlights of a visit to the cathedral is the view from the roof - on a clear day you can see the Italian Alps.
